One of the reasons that a lot of people go to Las Vegas is to see a show. There are lots of great ones to see. The problem is that because so many people are there to see a show getting tickets can be a challenge. There are however ways to get tickets to even the hottest shows.
In most cases the best way to get tickets to popular shows in Las Vegas is to buy them well in advance, like when you are planning your trip. Tickets to almost all shows can be bought online so this is a good way to get them before you even set out for Vegas. Most of the shows are long running engagements so you will be able to order your tickets months in advance. This will save you a lot of hassle when it comes to getting tickets for a show.
If you decide once you are in Las Vegas that you want to see a show you may want to try to get last minute tickets. These are sold at locations that specialize in selling these tickets and are usually only available on the day of the show. These tickets are usually available at half price. This is a good option if you decide that you want to see a show but are not too picky about which one you see. There is no guarantee that you will be able to get tickets to a particular show but you will be able to get them to something.
If you discover that there is a show that you really want to see and you didn't order tickets in advance you will likely find that your only option is to go through the ticket brokers. These are companies that resell tickets, really it is just legalized scalping. These tickets will cost a lot more than they would at the box office so it is really only worth it if you really want to see a show but it is an option if you need it.
One last option that you may be able to use to get tickets to a show is to talk to the concierge at your hotel. Many of the shows will provide extra tickets to the hotels for them to pass on to their guests. Again this will be quite hit or miss; they may have tickets to the show that you want or they may not. Either way it is definitely worth asking.
You will occasionally see somebody scalping tickets to a show on the street but it is rarely a good idea to buy from them. Scalping is illegal in Las Vegas and the police are pretty strict about enforcing it. In addition a lot of scalpers sell fake tickets to the hottest shows so the risk is not really worth it.
